You may be asking: “So, what’s this about?” This is about the journey and discovery of being a man. All stories start at the beginning and this journey has a start too.

In the beginning ….. God created the heavens and the earth and after all had been created he stopped to make the most important creation of all.

Genesis chapter 1 verse 26 to 28 says the following:

Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” (NIV Translation)

When you read the full chapter of Genesis 1 there is one thing separating mankind from the rest of creation. God made and created everything, but when He came to mankind He CREATED THEM IN HIS IMAGE. Humanity is different, set aside, from the rest of creation.

The journey ahead is to discover what it means to be a man created in the image of God.
